For those of you who shave everyday: the first pass is really necessary?

I do shave every day.

The WTG pass is not always a necessity. I sometimes shave XTG on some parts of my face, and ATG on others.

I shave WTG when my lather is fresh, and possibly dry. I vary that as conditions dictate.
