A top notch lather made with the Omega boar helped to deliver a DFS+. Had the Gibbs replica set at 4….next time I’d go a lower setting …very slightly harsh and some minor neck irritation but super close and smooth end result. I put a stiffer spring in the Gibbs and it feels much tighter and more precise to me. I like the Heritage razor a lot.

• Soap: Stirling Christmas Eve
• Post shave: Thayer’s Coconut Witch Hazel followed by Old Spice splash and Cella Extra Extra Bio balm

The streak of perfect 10 BBS shaves continues. The Athena provided a typically superb shave that is more efficient on the second pass (ATG) vs. the first pass (WTG). Choosing the Stirling Christmas Eve is a no brainer today. Although I like the Stirling soaps, I don't love them. They lack just a tiny bit of slickness, but they do a very good job anyway.

Christmas morning shave (already the big day here in Australia). Quick two pass shave, socially presentable and comfortable, fought the temptation to push it further. Predicted top of 32 C/90ish F, beautiful clear and sunny day, so a little menthol was appreciated, and the Pino Silvestre is the closest I have to a festive soap.
