Almond size amount of cream/soap? Are almonds different sizes in different places?

My exploding razor knows secrets
Even the dosage and amount of water vary between different soaps.
So I end up just observing the texture of lather in the bowl or how it feels on my face and adjusting the amount accordingly.

I can't even remember my shoe size because every shoe brand in the store has different units.
Luckily I always go out with my feet.

...but this one IS cracked.
As a member of the 3017 thread my almond size may be bigger than yours

Curious about what my visual notion of an almond equates to, I've weighed the scooped volume a couple of times recently; my almond is coming in at 1.7 grams of soap.

I shaved a fortune
Until just recently, I've been using an odd little silver spoon with a wooden bird handle.... I used it as a grapefruit spoon for decades.... That is until I saw someone here (I forget who... so please, if it was you, speak up and also forgive me) post a photo with The Razor Company's little soap spoon:

It's absolutely perfect. I got the polished version but it's also available in with a brushed finish, if you prefer.

The almonds where I live are GMO and are the size of chestnuts. Seriously though, I think it's highly dependent on the cream. I've noticed that a pea sized amount of some creams whips up heaps of lather, others require more. That said, I do an almond size or slightly more. I like whipping up a nice fluffy lather. For me, it's part of the fun.
