Thanks for all the well wishes guys. I really hate falling, but, being able to get up on my own is really great. Having a life guardian device is great and all, but, I really don't want to have to use it.
Maybe I'll learn something.

I definitely sleep better since getting a CPAP--my wife getting a CPAP, that is. I've always been a light sleeper but since I quit drinking everything wakes me up. And I don't really enjoy sleeping with earplugs in, although I've done it a fair bit.

I have always been a heavy snorer so me getting this bad boy is great if I ever decide I want to try getting a partner again, though that is not on the horizon as of now.

I have surgery in the morning some time. The VA is sending me travel back and forth. I am driving down to see my dad for two days and a night. I haven't decided which days yet.

Me too. It’s to remove a cyst that was right below one just like it that got infected filled with fluid and exploded a few years ago. Getting that one packed with gauze by the wound doctor was not fun. I’m glad to finally get it taken care of.

Thanks for the well wishes guys. I decided for sedation rather than general anesthetic so I could come home today and not have to have tubes down my throat. I don't have anyone I trust to come over for me. So they removed both the old cyst that burst in 2021 and the one that I developed afterwards. It was partially filled with fluid which was a worry. Still they got me taken care of today. I feel a slight tightness right now, but, it will probably get worse. They gave me a few oxy's for emergencies, but, said I should use ibuprofen or Tylenol first. I am pretty sure my psychiatrist told me I can't take opioids due to one of my meds. I have just messaged her and taken two Tylenol for starters. I talked to my brother a minute ago and the only day his girlfriend has off is Christmas day. I am only going down for a night and two days, so I will head down tomorrow to spend Christmas eve with dad, and day with him before driving back.
Heal up and have a safe trip, my friend.

The nurse already got back with me and said the only med I can't mix is Valium which I rarely if ever take since I began falling in the mornings. They only gave me 4 of the Oxy's so no real thing.

Soap: Martin de Candre Vetyver with use of the flairisol mister
Razor: Muehle R89
Blade: Silver Star (1)
Post: PAA alum, Thayer's Lavender Witch hazel
Splash: Catie's Bubbles Un Jour Gris
Frag: St Johns Vetiver
9.0 DFS
First use of the Silver Star. Not a bad blade. I can't attest to it's sharpness, but, it was very smooth. Everything else this afternoon was great as always. Loading the Cube from a container rather than off the slivers that remained worked a lot better. DFS and easier with two passes and a slight touch up around my mouth. Nary a weeper in sight. Un Jour Gris is frosty and enjoyable as always. I think the Fine version of this was Fresh Vetiver. I may need to get a few bottles to keep up with my Vetiver soaps.

That's a blade that has always served me well.
You use other blades besides GSB's?
