I don't want to be extraordinarily rendered if I try to bring one on an airplane!
Are DE razors allowed in carry-on luggage?

Short version:
1) The razor itself, yes.
2) The blades, no way.
3) Yes, that piece of law is badly worded.
4) 'Safety Razor' refers to cartridges only.
5) Consider mailing blades to your hotel.

What fun is that? Let's face it, there are probably only between 15 and 30 threads on this site that get continually tweaked and regenerated, anyhow, so we might as well keep things going!
Seriously, though, thanks for the info. It sounds like if you use a DE razor you can't go strictly carry-on, unless you buy blades at your destination.
Perhaps it's time for one of those threads to be stickied.
