It certainly is. That's sufficient stock for a minimum of 1003 years of daily shaves!

I'm assuming this all started before your Excalibur days.
Even if you got only one shave per blade that would still be over 10 years worth of blades!


Being a minimalist (therefore not really suited to this thread) I'm glad I found the Excalibur Club early in my new DE Shaving life (nearly six months now). I'm currently up to 24 shaves per blade. Even if I never exceed that number the 34 blades I currently have in stock should last me 2¼ years of daily shaves.
I just love this place. It's so much fun!

At four blades per year that is splendid news! I thought I was running out of blades anytime soon...

I'm with [MENTION=79907]BSAGuy[/MENTION].. I've got maybe 75 DE and 25 Injector blades and I feel overstocked. At a month per injector blade and using only 2 Rubies during the One Blade February challenge, I feel like I'll never get around to trying those Wilkies or the Rapiras or the Nacets or Treets in my blade box...

If only I could shave more than once a day...

Some of the ones in abundance are combined purchases and gifts.
Some of those were eyeball estimates, so the sum of 1190 blades really just approximates 1200. I did not know I went over 1000 blades by now. At 5 to 7 shaves per blade, that would seem to keep me for 16 years. Since I now use some of them for body shaving, it may be "only" 12 years stock. Still, the collection may and likely will outlast me.

I am done buying for a while.

I clicked on this thread a few weeks ago and now am the proud owner of 100 RAPIRA SUPER STAINLESS blades even though I did not need them...or really want them. But the price including shipping from half way around the world was hard to believe so I ordered. I had low expectations but the shave (blade) was surprisingly good. I could use them every day with no complaints.

I've kept it simple...

- 5,200 Polsilver SI
- 500 Gillette Blacks (2012 batch. Sadly no more '12 batch available anywhere!)


I'm good for 110 years of daily shaving (I'd be 143 years of age by then!).

Was there something special about the 2012 batch? That was a bit before my time here. Whatever random batches I've used have been pretty nice blades, so I'm thinking those 2012 must have been real good for you specify.

Not that high but I'm in the six to seven hundred range. 100 Personna lab blues, 50 Personna reds, 100 Astra SP, 50 polisilver, 100 Volshuds, 100 Shark super chromes, 50 GSB and a bunch of trial packs various brands. The ones in bulk all work great for me in all my razors.

I have only a mere 120 Festhers. However, after working in the Excalibur Forum I am up to 26 shaves on one Feather. So if need be I have over 8 years worth of blades.

Yup.

I've used every batch from 2008 to 2016.

They are very nice blades but the 2012 is like the "vintage" batch.
They are very special blades. I had over 2,000 at one stage but sold them thinking I'll re-stock down the track, only to find out 2013/14/15/16 were not as awesome as the 2012.

So now my 500 remaining are rationed out to myself at 10 blades a year!!

Although, the Polsilvers are not much less so I'm a happy camper
