Forgive my lack of knowledge....what does "pinned and recessed" mean?

Jason, the barrel is pinned into the frame instead of the later "crush fit" ones being threaded in. Recessed is the counterbore of the chambers than enclose the case rims. They don't make 'em like that anymore.

That's a good set of Bankers Special revolvers. Warms the heart of an old career banker. There's a .38 Banker's Special around here that shipped from Colt to a Los Angles address in 1932.

Mike - that Underwood is good stuff. They have some very hot loads, this is one of their 44 special full wadcutters in front of my 696.

Nice LCR. How does it shoot? If my wife gets her conceal carry license, I am thinking about getting her either the 38 or the 9mm version. She has trouble racking the slides of automatics.
