You could look at the RazoRock line. The slab is just slightly more aggressive and comes with a better handle than the EJ, The RR jaws razor will be another step up aggressive wise.
Love Love Love the 39c it's my Sledgenator. Its the only razor I feel i don't get neck irritation with ( coarse curly neck hair).
23c ok. Gillette adjustables/ super slim/fatboy/slim cant seem to find the right setting not enough or too much. R41 is hit or miss, should i go steep or shallow? Its hard to find the right angle. With the 39c the angle just comes natural and I can use in 7 days a week while my skin clears up.
The 2011 R41 is the pinnacle of aggressive but hard to find these days. The 2013 is close but not nearly as smooth in my hands. There is something about the flatter top cap that doesn't work for me. Like someone else said it seems to be picky about angle. You should look at the Fatip. I have been impressed with it and the price is right.
Used my Merkur 34c and 11C (open comb) for years. Then I decided to try the Maggard MR6 and love it. It is slightly more aggressive than the EJ but gives excellent shaves. For me, I've found that the Astra Sp and Personnal Reds give me the best cloose shaves . YMMV of course. I still use the above named razors in my rotation, but the Maggard is pretty much my daily driver. Maggard Razors - Straight Razor Restoration, Custom Scales and Wet Shaving Pro
