Choking flow is a little more difficult than opening up an arid writer. It can be done but requires skill and patience.

I think I'll stick to Watermans in future. It's not bad ink and I have my Parker Super 21s and Hero knock-offs with fine nibs for my Diamine ink, which I don't hesitate to take to work.
 
Waterman is a safe bet a d generally available all the time. If you can't find Waterman, you can also try the current Skrip inks from Sheaffer.
