Gillette Open-Comb names

OK all of you open-comb mavens -- I just went through Mr. Razor's website and found not even a reference to what we commonly refer to as the Short Comb and the Long Comb. Does anyone know what the proper terms for these heads were, or are they just generic terms that describe the fact that Gillette made shorter combed razors and longer combed razors.

For example, is the Gillette New Deluxe simply a kind of long-comb?

NEW is what you want. Short-comb and long-comb are both NEWs. The New Deluxe has a heavier, flat-bottomed base plate, and isn't categorized by comb length. It's just a New Deluxe. That's the way I understand it, at least.

Thanks guys. But that does not explain why Mr. Razor does not have a short comb or long comb. It's confusing because these terms are used so often.

He just doesn't break them out separately. They're both under the "NEW" category, as are his NEW DeLuxes.
