Birthday bash last night so a glass of Champagne as a sharpener, a couple of glasses of Pouilly-Fume and a bottle of St. Estephe, a Lilian Ladouys 2009 - it might need a couple more years as the tannins were still quite sharp - but it was still pretty drinkable. Finished off with an Armagnac which was so good, I had to have another...
Tonight will be scotchy.

Friday night I tried my first Lazy Magnolia offering: Lazy Saison. Light farmhouse ale at 5.5%, but very enjoyable.
I took an unopened bottle of Early Times that is 25 years old, and I followed a good recipe and made it into Fireball style whiskey. Stuff is lethal but good lol. (BTW...it took a month of process to make the change to Fireball style, nothing fast so it's some good stuff. Not to mention all natural...cinnamon sticks and so on)

I didn't buy it. There was a 25oz can sitting there all lonely in the fridge. I am putting it out of its misery.

Well I did. Strange thing is I usually have some in the fridge and I'm mystified as to why I keep buying it!
