I think that everybody is different and that the only way to find out is to try it. Also, be willing to experiment by trying different blades, creams, soaps etc... Somewhere out there is the perfect shaving combination for you. I started DE shaving just a few weeks ago and cannot believe the results I am getting. A few nicks every now and then but I am getting one close shave while saving money and helping the environment. I don't see myself ever going back to cartridges or disposables again.
