Razor : Yaqi Mellon 316 SS 2nd Generation (V2) polished head with a Yaqi "Tear drop" SS cannon looking handle- Mfg Jan 2023> mid range, accurate machining and excellent finish is adequate for my shaving needs! Had a excellent shave this morning.
Blade : Gillette Perma- sharp(4) sharp & smooth + reasonable longevity. excellent balanced blade for my shaving needs.
Soap : Razorock Irish Countryside, nice unique different clean kind of scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Dandelion" 24mm Cashmere brush, excellent lather generator, heavenly cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber, + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Irish Countryside with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Yaqi Mellon SS head with a Perma-sharp blade.

Razor : Yaqi Mellon polished 316 SS 2nd generation(V2) with a Yaqi "Tear Drop" 316 SS polished cannon looking handle - Mfg 2023>, mid range, nice double open comb, machining and finish QC are excellent for my shaving needs, had a excellent shave this morning mostly care free . GSB blade with the Mellon 316 SS head V2 worked well also for a good combination IMO.
Blade : Gillette silver blue(3) Sharp & smoooth with excellent lather qualities. Top tier blade.
Soap : Yaqi Musketeer rapier, nice linear unique scent(Aramis original?), with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Sagrada Familia" 24mm tuxedo knot, named after the famous Cathedral in Barcelona Spain, Excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : witch hazel beard cleanse + Yaqi Musketeer Rapier splash (Aramis scent?)+ a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Yaqi Mellon head 316 SS V2 with a GSB blade.

Razor :Yaqi Mellon head polished, 2nd generation(V2) 316L SS with a Yaqi Teardrop SS polished handle Cannon looking handle- Mfg 2023>, mid range, very well made Double open comb with excellent machining and finish QC, inside of top cap is just machine finish & is adequate for my shaving needs. Had a stellar close shave this morning with no issues so I start the day off great.
Blade : Personna red(3) sharp & smoooth with excellent longevity. Good combination with this razor head today!
Soap : Speick stick- nice mild spicy scent with some of best lather qualities of a soap I have ever used.
Brush : Yaqi "Viper" 24mm boar bristle knot, excellent lather generator, soft split end bristle hairs, excellent splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. Very good boar brush IMO.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ach Brito Lavanda splash with witch hazel+ a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Yaqi Mellon head 316 SS with a Personna red.

Razor : Yaqi Mellon 316SS 2nd generation razor head with the tear drop 316L (old cannon looking)polished handle- Mfg 2023>, mid range, well made with accurate machining and great polished finish. The audio feedback this morning was nice (sounded like a sizzling noise of whiskers standing no chance). There is no blade tab overhang to worry about and the shave was mostly carefree with some attention needed in sensitive areas.
Blade : Gillette silver blue (5)- sharp & smoooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Razorock Emperor, sharp scent 5-6/10 with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Robin" boar bristle. Excellent lather generator, soft split end boar bristle tips, great splay scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Emperor splash with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).

After using for a few months now this is a excellent razor and will provide close shaves if desired. Had a close comfortable enjoyable shave this morning with no drama.

Soap : Razorock Santa Maria del Fiore, nice vanilla and tobacco scent with excellent lather qualities.

Dual comb for excellent lather reaching surface of skin. I really like the audio feed back on this razor, it has a sizzling sound as the whiskers are being snipped. Had a excellent close shave this morning.
Blade : Gillette Perma-sharp(1), sharp and smooth with great longevity. Top tier blade of my top 6.
Soap : Razorock Irish Countryside, nice clean unique scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Aqua" high mountain silvertip 3band badger. Excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.

A couple of eye candy looking razors, the Ascension is sort of a adjustable by slightly loosening the tension by CCW turning the handle up to a 1/4 turn is my understanding.

Razor : Yaqi Mellon head 316 SS 2nd Generation or V2 with a polished SS "Teardrop" handle- Mfg 2023, tame mid to mid range, excellent machining and finish QC is adequate for my shaving needs. This dual comb is a nice razor with the old concept from the "Grande Shave King" razor idea. The idea is to rinse more often by trapping water in the Dual combs when bringing it to beard area by rejuvenating the lather to make it slicker. It does work, V1 model (Zamac) works slightly better for self lubricating because it seems to trap a little more water IMO. Regardless the razor works very well and is permently in my rotation. The audio feed back is very enjoyable I find(Sizzling sound). Had a close comfortable shave this morning with no issues.
Blade : Personna red(1) sharp & smooth with great longevity.
Soap : Razorock XXX, nice unique clean scent with excellent lather qualities. On 3rd tub!
Brush : Yaqi "Red Zebra" 26mm snow Leopard knot, Excellent lather generator, heavenly luxury cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lathe painter. This 26mm brush is one of my favorites, ticks all the boxes for my shaving needs.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.

Razor : Yaqi 2nd Generation or V2, 316 SSP Mellon dual open comb head with a Milano 316 SSPolished handle- MFG 2023>, tame to mid range, excellent machining and finish QC. I enjoy the audio feedback from this razor(sizzling sound) and also a well thought out razor for ideal performance IMO. Had a close comfortable shave this morning with no issues, I used a shallow approach (riding the cap) for a change and it performed wonderfully IMO!
Blade : Gillette silver Blue (2) sharp & smoooth with reasonable longevity. Top tier for myself.
Soap : Yaqi Green, nice fresh addicting scent(Lacoste Green cologne) with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Viper" boar bristle, excellent lathe generator, soft split end bristle hairs, great feel splay scrubber + great lather painter. Eye candy to myself to look at and use.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.

This a nice dual comb & slightly more efficient than V1 Yaqi Mellon head. Had a stellar enjoyable close shave this morning with no issues.
Blade : GSB (2) sharp & smoooth with reasonable longevity. Top tier in my blade reserve.
Soap : Taylor of old bond st Herbal sandal wood, nice scented herbal sandal wood with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi " Sagrada Familia" 22 mm 2band badger, excellent lather generator, luxury pillow like soft tips, perfect splay scrubber, excellent lather painter. This morning had a Zen moment or two with this small handled & nice badger knot.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of G.F.Trumper skin food on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Witch hazel beard soap residual cleanse + a dollop of Geo F Trumper Sandalwood face food.

Razor : Yaqi 2nd generation or V2 Mellon head 316 SSP with a Yaqi Teardrop 316 SSP handle- Mfg 2023>, tame mid to mid rangel. Machining and finish QC are excellent IMO.
I liked the V1 version so I had to try this V2 model and is slightly more efficient and I tend to use riding the cap a little more than riding the bar, either angle works, easy sweet spot to find and it will sing to the operator when you hit it. The audio feedback is enjoyable with a sizzling sound of whiskers being snipped is best way to describe it. Had a Stellar comfortable close shave this morning.
Blade : Gillette Perma sharp(2) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity. Thanks to Eric for PIF!
Soap : Razorock The Dead Sea, interesting unique soap with a very enjoyable scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Cavern Lake" 24mm tuxedo knot, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, great splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. Very nice brush to scrub with and lather paint also.

Razor : Yaqi 2nd generation or (V2) Mellon head 316 SSP with a Yaqi Teardrop handle- Mfg 2023>, tame mid range to mid range. Excellent machining and finish QC with good design double open comb. This razor is a blast from the past(Grand shave king) that really had a good design but never caught on. The dual comb is suppose to pick up some water after each rinsing and will rejuvenate the lather for better protection was the orginal concept. Had a stellar comfortable close shave this morning with no issues.
Blade : Gillette silver blue, sharp and smoooth with reasonable longevity. Top tier in my books.
Soap : Yaqi Musketeers rapier, nice scented musk scent(Aramis clone) with excellent lather qualities. Very nice scent that can be addictive at first.
Brush : Yaqi " Moka express" 26mm 2band badger, excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, great splay scrubber + great lather painter. Big HD knot 2band badger in a nice looking handle, 2band badger brushes are excellent for shaving needs IMO.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.

The QC for machining & finish are excellent and glad I bought it back a few months ago on sale. Had a great stellar comfortable close shave.

Razor : Yaqi 2nd Generation or V2 Mellon head 316 SPP with a Yaqi Teardrop SSP handle- Mfg 2023>, nice tame mid range. Interesting razor to use and it's dual comb. It's similar to the Grande King razor of the 1940's with no blade tab overhang. Machining and finish are excellent QC MFG and seem it works well for my shaving needs. Had a comfortable close shave this morning!
Blade : Gillette 7oClock Permasharp (3) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Razorock XXX, unique XXX scent with some menthol but not over the top(thank goodness) + excellent lather qualitiies.
Brush : Yaqi "Orbital ring" 24mm boar bristle brush, excellent lather generator, split end bristle hair soft tips, great splay scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.

Blade : GSB (4) sharp and smoooth with reasonable longevity. Top tier blade in my Den.
Soap : TOBS Herbal sandalwood, the scent of this sandalwood is awesome for myself 6-7/10 strength + excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Sagrada Familia" 22mm 2band badger, Excellent lather generator, luxury pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. This little brush performs well and is awesome considering it's small handle.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.

Razor : Yaqi 2nd generation or V2 Mellon razor head 316 SSP with a Tear Drop handle 316SSP- Mfg 2023>, mid range. Excellent design with excellent machining and finish QC. I also have a 1st version or V1 Melon head and the newer V2 has a little more blade feel but not a lot(it's always user perception of blade feel!) This has become one of my favorites over use and it just works but will bite with to much pressure like all razors. Had a great comfortable close shave this morning.
Blade : Treet platinum- sharp and smooth and longevity is unknown. New blade testing.
Soap : Yaqi Musketeer Rapier, nice scented soap(Aramis cologne scent) with excellent lather qualities. Always a treat when using this soap in the early morning. One of my favorites!
Brush : Yaqi " Barber shop" 24mm 2band badger. Excellent lather generator, luxury pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. Yaqi 2band badgers are a nice brush and have a lot of different types to compare with over the years.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Yaqi Musketeer Rapier splash + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi V2 316 SSP Mellon head with a fresh Treet blade.
