I usually use pre-shave oil (AOS or Bevel), but lately I have been using Noxzema Protective Shave as a pre-shave. Sometimes, I use a tiny bit of it as a post-shave balm.

I don’t use it if I knew that I am going to be out in the sun for most of the day. It does have acid in it.
