What is the Best Shave soap you've ever tried.

Last year it was DRH. This year it's SRD, but there are still a few I have yet to try (MdC and C&S).

The first response to the OP is dated Feb of 2010 and the last post is dated today. It is interesting to read through the posts and see the shifts in what soaps people call their tops. Reminds me of studying core samples....

To answer the OP, right now I would have to go with Mike's or MdC. However, I'm hearing some great things about Barrister & Mann that make me want to try it right now! **sigh**..... time to add another ring to that ol' core sample!

For all around marks, ease of lather, scent, protection, slickness, after shave face feel -- not necessarily tops in every one of them, but the best soap I've yet tried = Queen Charlotte Soft soap (Green Irish Tweed is my favorite scent).
