Vintage Cognac Bad Cork

I bought two bottles of vintage cognac recently and the cork on the first bottle, Martell, fell apart. I can pour through the hole in the cork but how can I open the second bottle without this happening or is it simply too late?

If you want to go fancy - read expensive - look for a Durand combination tool. Looks stupidly simple but is a real pro tool for aged bottles.
