I was a 1 or 2 and done depending on the blade used. My premium blades got dried off with a heat gun without disassembling the razor after 1 shave. This was my routine last year but this year will be one and done because I have too many blades.
I'm going to give the obvious (though possibly not sought) answer:
Whenever you want, as it suits you.
I won't even guess the average number of shaves, or even expected life of the typical DE blades, as there are many variables, including personal preference.
My shaves are always 3-pass and touchup, and I shoot for 5-6 shaves per DE blade. Could I get 18 single-pass shaves?
Seems likely.
Just swap it when it starts to tug, it takes 10 seconds.
