I have no business buying another pipe but I couldn't pass this one up, a Altonik Calcine Dublin meerschaum with spigot amber stem, it's an estate with a few blemishes but I got a killer deal, I think I would buy fecal matter if it had a spigot and amber stem attached to it ...

Is that a real amber stem?!

Hello all:

I might have gone a little overboard this week, and buyers remorse lurks quietly in the shadows, but goodness I like these pipes.

put a little love into cleaning up those stems and those are gorgeous pipes!

No, it's acrylic made to look like amber, very few modern pipe makers use real amber, it's quite expensive and not very practical.

I found a couple more small, neat pipes today. I liked the simple, conservative shapes.

1. Ben Wade, Made in Leeds, England, Walnut Briar - No mark on stem and no model number stamp.

2. Sasieni made, Royal Stuart, 30R - It has the arched, perpendicular, Made in England, mark, and an overlapping, RS, stamp on the stem top.

It's been a busy few weeks, so I've finally gotten around to cleaning up some pipe purchases this month.

First up are a few from BST.
An S&R rusticated billiard.
A Tinsky rusticated pot.
A GBD New Standard lumberman--this one is crazy light (only 24 grams).



Another pair from BST:
A Bjarne blast freehand.
A Dunhill group 4.



And, a cool little blast Big Ben zulu.



Plus I also grabbed:
1 tin 2002 Frog Morton On the Town
1 tin 2004 Escudo
5 tins 2011 Escudo

Plus I have a few more pipes and more baccy on the way. I've got to slow down!

Took advantage of the IPSD sale at Smoking pipes, 3 more pounds of Mac Baren HH Mature Virginia on the way, stocking up before it's all gone.

What do you mean by that? Will it no longer be produced?

Did the red Smoking Pipes box and pipe bag come with the Peterson? I don't think I've seen those before.
