Stroke advice

Well, not to draw attention to myself, but Christmas left me with a stroke. I am well cared for, and speech and limbs unaffected. I am about to start blood thinners, any shaving advice? I usually get a nick free bbs. My balance is really off- thinking of lightening up.

Glad to hear you are OK.

I was on clopidogrel when I first took up wet shaving with a DE, and usually kept a styptic pencil nearby...which was very effective (and still occasionally needed ).

Wow! Bless you and good luck. No advice but as gpjoe said, a styptic pencil would probably be a good safety measure.

Talk to your cardiologist or doctor. If they say to use an electric because of risk of cutting, use an electric. If they say no shaving and grow a bread, grow a beard.

If you are having problems with balance, could you find a way to shave while sitting down? Maybe a bar stool in front of the sink...

I have been on Plavix (clopidogrel) and and baby aspirin for five years now and completely agree with gpjoe above.
