PRESHAVE: Wash w/ Yardley English Lavender; Hot wash-cloth soak
SHAVE OIL: Blend of Baby Oil w/ Menthol
SHAVE SOAP: Proraso - Lathered in a warmed glass bowl
BRUSH: Tweezerman Badger
RAZOR: Parker 90R
BLADE: Gillette 7 O'Clock (3)
A/S: AV Musk

RESULT: 2 full passes w/ touch-up in the usual spots - Bit more work today - time for a new blade. Altogether a pleasant shave.

Hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!

Pre-Shave:
Hot shower
Brush: 23mm Simpson "Chubby #1", 2-band, Super Badger
Maxterpiece: 7/8" Geo. Wostenholm "I•XL Celebrated", 1/2 Hollow Ground, Barber's Notch (Black G10)
Strop: 55/65 laps (Neil Miller linen/Premium IV leather)
Überlather: Cyril Salter "French Vetiver" Shave Creme + SRD "Vetiver" Shave Soap + Glycerin

. My wife was hanging out around the den just to enjoy the scent emanating from this wholesome and creamy überlicious lather; a pea size amount of the creme + a "double loading" of the soap produced enough for this entire forum. I wish everyone were here to enjoy it, but oh well, unless the SRP developers can figure out a way to make transference a reality trough the network, you'll just have to take my word for it
proxy.php
. Then came the Pièce de résistance, i.e., the Wosty
proxy.php
. This beauty had everything going for her; brains and brawn. She wiped the whiskers like yesterdays old news. Super shave, super feeling, and a super smooth face
proxy.php
. Let's see what today has in store for me. Whatever it is, I am ready for it.

I really like the scent of this Uruguayan soap (hard cream? in this case, is very hard!), a lavender fragrance, with some sweeter notes. The soap has an excellent glide and protection, that leaves nothing to be desired.
Another surprise was Emporio Body Store's Affair ASB, from Brasil, very refreshing, ideal for this warmer days, and a very nice, "cologny" aroma.

Fabulous shot Emanuel

That's a delicious looking lather Bill. Well done

Here is a picture of what my planned shave was going to be. Had to change it though as I wouldn't have had enough time this morning.

So no picture of my actual shave but I just swapped out the Clements and the Deramaix frameback for my Merkuer 34c. I'll have to try out the straights on Saturday and Sunday.

No sweat. It happens. I often take my shots beforehand too. But sounds like you had a nice one nonetheless

Henry,
You're just fueling my RAD :thumbup1:. I am looking for a 776, extra hollow.

Razor: Le Grelot 6/8
Strop: Ambrose Spanish Horse 25/50
Brush: Plisson #12 pur blaireau
Lather: Dr. Selby + Lavanda
Astringent: Alum
AS: Martin de Candre huile de coprah
EdT: Czech&Speake Oxford&Cambridge
Summary: The "exotic" shaving soap is form Uruguay, the Dr. Selby easy gives cushioned, slick and comfortable lather. The lavender scent is fresh and spicy, as the leafs of the plant, I have paired Selby with the portuguese Lavanda athat is a bit warmer. The brush is the low-cost range of Plisson (if this is possible) and it's exfoliant and scratchy, better to use painting strokes than swirls in the face. The Martin de Candre aftershave is greasy, not very good for me.

First time trying the Shark blades. Like them better even than Feathers (for this first shave, let's see how the second one goes later in the week). I have coarse ginger beard on depressingly sensitive pale skin, so am pleased to be finding out what works.

After a couple of bad shaves using 7-o-clock Yellows and Lord Blades from my sampler pack, I was pleasantly surprised that there were no weepers or irritation.

Even more surprised later when I realised I'd neglected to put on any balm and hadn't noticed.
