No markings anywhere, but from the feel of the metal it seems to be stainless steel - it's in very good condition too.

Any guesses about what this actually is?

lwt210 - is that an old type or new type? Looks like old to me, but not sure. Looks lovely though - great condition.

Billy - Nice looking old and the straight.

Old type.

Shaved with it this morning at 0430. Feather yellow.

What a shave!

It was a banner day! Two great razors came in at the same time. I'll post individually.

First is a "V3" Aristocrat. Absolutely beautiful! Can't believe the increadible condition it's in.

The second to arrive is a '49-'50 Executive. It shows some wear, but the rhodium still shines. Love the heft of this razor.

Today I stopped at an antique store that I've driven by several times. It was "too small" to justify stopping but I had some time to kill. I think it was worth it. This was my score from that single shop. Some of them need some SERIOUS cleaning, but for what I paid, I'll take it!!

This appears to be a 1930s Somerset or Norfolk (I can't find the differences in these) and a 1934 Red and Black set.

What looks like a military set, but has no serial number info, a Y4 Tech, and a D3 Flare Tip Super Speed.

Continued with last pic in next post because Tapatalk only allows 5 attachments, apparently.

Hey, just found a '61 Fatboy and a '40 Super Speed (I think). Down at the local swap shop. $20 for both. Cant wait to get em cleaned up and give em a whirl.$IMG_20140820_180213406_HDR.jpg

Wahoo

Picked up a NEW in the Wild today. It came with a Gillette Red Tip box!

Just took it for a ride after cleaning and boy does it give a great shave. I would compare it to a 50's flare tip. Just right using a wilkinson blade.

Found this vintage Merkur slant at an antique mall last week.

With the heavy patina and grime, I really couldn't identify the maker-- the razor is identical to my Hoffritz slant. In any event, it cleaned up nicely with a baking soda and hot water bath in an aluminum pan, followed by a gentle polishing with Maas.
