just one more win! wishing you luck bud. hope to see you in the second round!Canucks just pulled off a big win. Pulled our 3rd goalie in the playoffs with 3 minutes left in the 3rd down 3-1. Boessr scores to make it 3-2, then gets a hat trick with seconds left to send it into OT. We close it out to steal the game in the first minute of OT.. 4-1 and heading back to Vancouver up 3-1 in the series. Praise Ullr!

I didn't know we are rooting for opposite ends of the ice here. Just know that anytime the Avs aren't in it anymore I'm always pulling for anything Canadian in the playoffs. I hope that doesn't sound lame. Not as flat as the Jets.

It was ugly. Preds are probably still thinking what just happened? Deflating, but good for us. I really thought that game was over for us. What a finish! Go Canucks! That was a hell of a finish. The Preds were hitting everything and controlling the game. Canucks came together in the second half of the 3rd. They also got a LOT of help from the Preds hitting the post on the empty netter.
It wasn't a pretty game, but they stuck with it.

I did lose a bit of interest in NHL for a while but would really enjoy the World Junior's. Have been back into it for a few years, it's a good game now, fast and physical. Less fighting for sure, but it was fun to watch Matt Rempe burst into the league and fight everyone.I was a hockey fan from the mid-60s until the late 90s, and had a subscription to the weekly Hockey News until the late 90s. I was a NY Ranger, and a Fotiu, Tie Dome fan. After the Rangers won the cup, expansion, greed, free agency, helmets, face masks, and foreign player names I could no longer pronounce, ruined hockey for me, like every other sport.
I empathize with your point you express with greed and expansion. I can't imagine playing the game today without facemasks or HELMETS (for crying out loud). Today's players are bigger and faster. It will always be a dangerous game and I am glad to see progress where the players safety is, somewhat, prioritized. I don't understand the intolerance for "foreign" players. [Begin Sarcasm Italics] I mean Mario Lemieux ain't from 'round here, but I can pronounce Wayne Gretzky.I was a hockey fan from the mid-60s until the late 90s, and had a subscription to the weekly Hockey News until the late 90s. I apologize @njpaddy , you definitely lost me at Tie Domi. If your hockey heroes track 3 to 1 fighting majors (333) vs. goals (104) you enjoy different aspects of the game than I do. I'll concede his philanthropy since, and I wholeheartedly recognize the need for an enforcer, but he was brutal and would resort to any dirty **** to instigate a fight. Much respect, but here I suppose our mileage does vary. And that's absolutely OK.
