Last night’s cap-riding, zippy shave
Fatip Grande
Sharp Titanium (1)
Damp facecloth aka “shave binky
AP ShaveCo Dinosaur G5C 28mm synthetic brush
Pre-shave: warm shower :001_wub:
Lather: ARKO!; face-lathered
Aftershave: Ulm Nom
Post-shave: face wash with shave binky and a drop of hyaluronic acid
Post-shave: Equate moisturizer

Fresh blade, fresh shower :001_wub: , fresh.-to-me idea. Moved the razor faster and gentler. And the shave was quicker and gentler. Somehow, it’s a different technique than moving slower and a tad heavier, but I look forward to perfecting it.

I'm trying to rotate through every one of my "modern" razors (I don't actually have that many by B&B standards). This morning’s go with the Parker 55SL-GR Semi-Slant was comfortable but included a rare true nick. I just carelessly dropped the head on the margin of my chin and generated the tiniest of cuts. The relatively heavy weight of the razor didn't help. The bleeding took a minute to start and stopped quite quickly. The blade remains quite sharp and smooth; it’s fantastic.

My shave scoring log is found HERE.

Happy shaves everyone :badger:

First pass with Panasonic Washable Beard Trimmer
Preshave: shower and soak with St Johns Vetiver Bar Soap
Brush: Shavemac 24 mm / 54 mm bulb two band silvertip DO1 in Copper Canyon
Soap: Martin de Candre Vetyver
Razor: Wolfman WR2 1.25 SB / @Rosseforp GTB 19.2 gram handle
Blade: Gillette Super Stainless The Spoiler F4 Unsure of the date 1985 maybe made in the USA (1)
Post: PAA Alum, Thayer's Lavender Witch Hazel Toner
Splash: Catie's Bubbles Un Jour Gris
Frag: St Johns Vetiver Cologne

DFS+ 9.7 on neck face BBS.

First pass was the 17th on the previous Spoiler. It was very rough and I got a few nicks. Midway through I changed out for a fresh blade and relathered my neck for a blissful rest of my N-S first pass. So much better. First Martin de Candre Monday in a while. Perfect lather and the DO1 did a great job. I don't remember if I added menthol to Un Jour Gris or not, but, it was nice and frosty. I use St Johns Vetiver soap every day, but, this is the first day in a while that I have used the cologne. Very pleasant scent.

Last night’s cap-riding, zippyish enough shave
Fatip Grande
Sharp Titanium (2)
Damp facecloth aka “shave binky
Ω 10048 28mm boar brush
Pre-shave: brushed cool water on my face
Lather: ARKO!; face-lathered
Aftershave: Ulm Nom
Post-shave: face wash with shave binky and a drop of hyaluronic acid
Post-shave: Equate moisturizer

Showered earlier in the evening so prep was much less. Whiskers had more resistance, but not enough to prevent a comfortable and timely shave that’s close enough for the win.
