Liquid Glycerin

I was slathering it on as a preshave and it was defeating the effectiveness of the cream. the cream wasn't actually making real contact with my face.

This layer of glycerin made my shaves painful, bloody messes.

The results don't lie.

Aha, there's the problem -- you're using too much. Glycerin is just one of the ingredients that make up a good shaving soap or cream, it is not intended to replace them. Just try adding a few drops to your shave soap or cream as you whip it up and see if that dosen't work better.

Thoroughly wet the face and then massage a small amout of glycerin to the skin.

Lather and shave per normal with excellent results.
