What's new

Japanese razor and Schulze

There are 2 razors I'm working on right now. One is a Schulze razor I got for cheap. It looks barely used. I also got a Nobel japanese straight. It's in decent condition. Both had scratches in the scales. The Schulze I'm working on honing and then I need to sand the scales. The Nobel's scales were wet sanded to 12k grit. The scales look amazing. The razor arrived shave ready so I'm struggling to decide if I want to sand the blade and tang to get the blade looking as good as the scales. I forgot to take pics of the scales on the Nobel before starting to sand. The dull pics are after 1k wet sand.

Schulze razors are very good. I picked one up for like 20 bucks and it was basicaly NOS. Just one small drop of devils spit. I was planing on gifting this one to one of my friends to see if he wanted to shave with a straight razor. He was to scared and passed so I put it on the backburner. I polished the blade and tightened the pins and dhe was looking almost brand new so I honed her up. The bevel was set so I just gave her a new Jnat edge and wow! They take and hold a better than average edge. Was not expecting that so now I recommend them everytime I see them. Yours have the same stamp as mine. Enjoy!
Nice job on the polish on the scales! Looks good!
