...the first real sample of my first new-year brew!
It's a Hefe which would, traditionally be more of a warm weather drink BUT, since I'm in love with them and dont, typically, constrain myself to social norms I decided to brew one instead of a stout this time.
This year, all of my brews will be more along the lines of standard seasonal brews, as a resolution, but today, just before lunch, I'll be popping the top on my first bottle of this beer.
It's been bottled for a little over two weeks, so I'm expecting some weak carbonation, but I took some extra special care with all of this good stuff, so I'm looking forward to great things.
Pre-bottling, the taste was very full with a butteryness (I cant get spell check to OK that word...), lacking the fruity banana and bubblegum (??) ish flavors that I pickup from some other commercial brews and just a liiiitle bitter snap at the end.
This is gonna be good.
