Help me towards a smooth bourbon.

+1 for woodford. The best in that pricepoint. You may also want to try basil haydens. Makers mark has a master distillers limited release. There are 2 different styles. One is done in a traditional bourbon style also one is done more like a scotch and both of those are good. Or get into the japanese whiskey scene which is really amazing with lots of good choices.
 
Templeton, actually. I avoided it for the longest time bc of the cheesy label. Mistake! It was truly impressive to me.
