Hat Rack Question

What do you gentlemen use to hang your hats or caps on? I have a friend who does woodworking as a hobby....and I am going to see if he would make me a hat rack. I was checking to see if you guys have any input or what you use personally. I am currently scouring the internet for pictures and plans.

Make sure the pegs are far enough apart to accommodate the hat brim and whatever else you are hanging. If you have a wide brim you may want 8"-12" spacing. Smaller brim not as much. So measure your hats first.

For repeated, daily, regular hat storage, I think you want a hat "shelf" ...

... where the hats can lie flat with brims unmolested. This is much preferable to something where you hang hats on pegs (often jostling with coats &c.) ...

i remember seeing some hat stands in an antique store before, that looked like it would work well. it was something like this

This solution might not be considered cost effective...

But this one is not too bad... (an oak hat rack with mirror)
