Geo Trumper brush question, who makes them

I purchased a brush at a consignment shop and its called:
Geo F. Trumper
Curzon Street
Mayfair
Pure Badger
Made in England

I love this brush and would like to get another one to rotate with, when I search for this brush very few sites come up, so my question is who makes their brush? Do they slap their label on a Rooney, Simpson? Also if they do does anyone know what an equivalent brush to this one would be. Any insight into this brush would be appreciated.

Mayfair is a Vulfix model name.

Its a British site, very expensive, that's why I am looking for something sold in the US.

Looks like a rebranded Simpson Duke 1. Of course the one pictured would be the Somerset variety, and they are now made by Vulfix. Many US vendors sell this brush.

I assume it is Simpsons Berkeley "46". I have one of them in butterscotch.

It comes in three sizes, so more likely a Duke I think.

Yes, I saw the link now. Duke is a better guess than Berkeley. However I always think that they look so much like.

I had a Simpson Chubby 2 Super(Pre-vulfix) that was rebranded as a Geo F Trumpers Chubby 3.


And yes, I'd say that is almost certainly a Duke 1.

Definitely a Simpson brush and yes Duke 1. Back in the day, before the Trumper ivory brush issue that hit the headlines in the UK press (David Carter's days not ours!) we produced many brushes for Trumpers over many many years.
