People may trash Moore, but he did make 7 very successful movies as Bond.
I think most who don't care for Moore as Bond are because of the relative campiness of his films (not his fault) and his age.
He is on record as having said that as Bond, he couldn't be the cold blooded killer type so he always played it as a joke.
Some of the later films with women who could have been his grand daughter were a little creepy (but again, not his fault).

True. I have seen some of his early Saint episodes. There are multiple moments where Moore truly projected that steel-eyed dangerous demeanor. It was mostly that the films had become more campy and jokey by 1973, and that lasted until Dalton's refreshing take in Living Daylights.

The Saint is a really terrific series. I enjoyed every single one I've seen.

I vote Auger too

All you James Bond fans, did you know there is a conspiracy theory that the Sean Connery character in the movie The Rock was really James Bond. British national, caught spying in the U.S. British government totally disavows him. Caught at Canadian border after stealing some microfilm from the FBI and never reveals it's location. Think about it.

For me: Sean Connery, Ursula Andress, and Eunice Grayson in Dr No

I have the two states of the first edition of Dr No, an original 1962 one sheet poster, and two £100 and one £50 plaques that were on the table in the Le Cercle casino scene when James Bond plays Chemin de Fer against Sylvia Trench.
