Stetson Black is by far my favorite "cheap" cologne. Smells sweet, leathery, manly and yet modern.
I wear it whenever I dress country or cowboy.

People so seldom mention English Leather here. While i have not worn it in years, I do like it.
+1 I like it too. I used to wear the cologne -- haven't for years now though.
I use the deodorant when I can find it. My wife loves the scent. She says I smell like someone else when I change deodorants -- so I usually go back..
I just bought a NOS bottle of Hero cologne. I used to wear it when my wife and I were dating some 17 years ago. Brings back memories.
Surprised no one has said Tabac yet.
Why would Tabac be a secret? It's great stuff!

I remember HERO. It was very big for a little while in the eighties. I liked it too. I wonder if its still around?
I found it in a local perfume/cologne store. Do a Google search and you should find a bunch of NOS bottles out there.
allright, I'll admit it. I LIKE (love is too strong a word) Acqua Di Gio. The fresh, mineral, marine smell works well on me and last for hours. I only still wear it on occasion because I have a huge #@$% bottle of it and I can't get rid of it!
Ok, i'll admit another one I found in the back of my cabinet the other day: Preferred Stock - there! 
Christian Dior Eau Savage ......... love it (amongst many others)
