Avoiding rust

I am not sure if this is the right forum for this topic, but here goes. One of the hardest places to avoid rust is in the pivot pin area of SRs on the tang &c. I usually try to work a Q tip in there after shaving to get moisture out before oiling. But I happened to have a can of compressed air with a little WD-40 sort of spout or tube to use on computer keyboards. The little spout goes right in around the pivot and a blast blows moisture right out from around the pin and under the scales. Worth a try.

I haven't found it difficult to avoid getting rust in the pivot. I leave my razors open, out, to dry after stropping. I do, on rare occasion, use a micro-tip oiler to lube the pivot pin. I store razors in a box with vci paper.
