An observation about carbon steel blades

I have several different Treet carbon steel blades - Classic, Falcon, and Durasharp. In my stainless Rockwell razor, I have to take the blade out or it will rust. In my Merkur 38c (chrome plated zamak), they seem to be much more rust resistant. I'm wondering if the carbon steel is less reactive to chrome than stainless steel. I know that different metals can react with each other (for example the sacrificial anode in your water heater). Curious if anyone has observed this.

Well water unfiltered causes my blades to rust fast, city water not as fast. I take my razor apart after every shave and towel dry, takes less than a minute, no rust problems. When was last time you looked at the anode in your water heater, easy to do and easy to replace, a bad one will change your hot water. Plenty of youtube vids on doing this.
