Originally from Adelaide, but Sydney for the last 25+ years. Hoping to return to Adelaide permanently in early 2021. I will miss Sydney's beautiful climate and general "greenness". I will not miss the crowds, traffic, lack of parking and property prices!

I doubt it. I regularly visit Australia for work a few times each year. Each visit is for 1 to 3 weeks and each time I am further reminded of why there are much better societies to live in. My brother left and lives in Japan. My sister left and lives in Israel. The other two most senior engineers in my field have also left.

Australia is now just too stressful to live in. Too much regulation. That also makes it almost impossible for a small business to complete in the international market like I have to do.
