The title says it all: if you had to chose between a modern-production 1/4-hollow grind and an extra full-hollow alternative, which one would you chose and why?
Is it that difficult to horn a 1/4 hollow?
Ummmm .......Thats a nice one Morton but who makes Framebacks currently as a production razor?
No; not really. Takes a bit more time but that's all.
I would pick the 1/4 grind new production razor over an old full hollow. Keep in mind I already have the Hart and it took one hell of an edge.
Generally better (aesthetic) stropping sensation (for my taste).
Extra hollow for me. Better 'articulation' and sense of detail, more sensitivity, slight flex is better for contours , etc. I can shave 'by sound' with a full hollow. Generally better (aesthetic) stropping sensation (for my taste).
