Ah, the hard decisions in life. I went with the xxx. I just got the fine l'Orange noir, and I love it. It might be heresy, but between this and the razorock son of zeus, I like l'orange noir just a little better. Revisiting the red tip after a long time absence since receiving my ikon slant. Overall was a great silky smooth shave .

Shower after gym + Glycerin soap face lather and rinse
Ginger's Escence Evergreen shave soap
Rudy Vey's badger brush
1st pass with Kai Captain folding straight razor + Feather Proguard blade
2nd pass with Gillette ABC open comb + Gillette silver blue blade
Cool washcloth rinse
Thayer's Lemon witch hazel splash
L'Occcitane Baux cologne

Ginger's homemade soap is nicely scented, good glide, but a little thin despite heavy loading and plenty of water.
Still, it shaved very nicely.

I just received this brush today. Thanks Richard! It didn't feel as big as I thought it would and was easy to work with and made a great lather. Has just enough scritch to lift the beard for a close shave. I think it may break in more with time, but it's wonderful now. Pre washed face with Noxzema since this was a daytime shave.​

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard)

Barrister & Mann Leviathan today. This was my first go with a B&M soap. I loaded the Plisson for 40 seconds and got enough lather for 3+ passes. 5[SUP]th[/SUP] shave with the GSB in the Slim. Another excellent smooth, close, nick free shave. I finished with Azzaro.
