Highgate Rise by Anne Perry
I really enjoyed that one. My son finished reading it two days ago, and told me he was sorry to see it come to an end. If you liked it, try to pick up "Player of Games" by Iain Banks.
I just finished "Lines of Departure" and look forward to book three in the series.

+1. I do that sort of thing periodically. Right now I'm rereading Web Griffin's _The Corps_ series in order. It's kinda sorta like visiting old friends.
