Wolfman: On the waiting list. Questions.

@LRod which WR3 are you going to order?
.40 open comb with the WRH7 98mm handle.
In the Guerrilla bronze finish that isn't offered in the normal Wolfman lineup.
I absolutely love that finish!
I previously discussed it with Tara and James accepted to make one.
Another Wolfman "original" for me!
First is was the Titanium Dual Comb Guerrilla which they don't offer but he made me one as well!

Got on 8/5 and heard back 12/6. I went back and forth with questions and finally ordered 12/15. Should've just done that in advance. It shipped last week and still waiting due to Canada post delays. Would request UPS shipping which they offer on the Guerrilla. I didn't ask and they defaulted to Canada post express. Shipped January 13 and eta is January 23 to FL.
That's about the same timeframe as UPS. I'm in Florida too!
The 3 times I ordered from Guerrilla, it's taken 8 days using UPS
and one of the times it got returned to them because UPS said it had some issue with
paperwork. That one took a total of like 2 weeks!

Interesting! I was wondering the opposite, if I could get a Guerilla in the Wolfman bronze basic polish.
The Guerilla looks like a matte finish. I bought a Karve plate in copper and I don't care for the unpolished finish. I assumed the guerrilla would be the same.

Coincidentally, I just hand polished my Bronze Guerrilla today for the first time.
Took me 10 minutes!
It now has an incredible luster that it lacked:

That's good to know. On the Shopify order screen it said it would only take 4 days so figured would be a better, didn't realize they just make those times up.

Canada Post is having labor disputes so it's a toss up right now. They say domestic service is stable but don't address outbound international on their website, just inbound which is delayed. My package got delayed once by them which added two days but no other issues.

How interesting. The first Guerrilla GEM. Which logo will he engrave on it 🤔

I’ve considered getting brushed bronze in the past but James talked me out of it.

It won't be a Guerrilla GEM!
It's the normal Wolfman WR3 with the Guerrilla Bronze finish. It'd be the Wolfman logo!
Only difference is the finish!
If it were marketed as Guerrilla, I'd be asking
for the Guerrilla price, trust me!

Does anyone know if Wolfman changed their communications method?
The email I got was automated where you respond if you want to proceed.
I don't recall this last year when I ordered!
Last time was a direct email from Tara asking if I wanted to proceed where she immediately responded.
I haven't received any response from this automated one!

My 'proceed' email was automated.

After I responded, Tara emailed me directly about an hour later.

Got it!
Thanks. She emailed me a little while ago.
I forgot to mention, Tara says the invoice would be sent to me in about 2 weeks. So that means that the whole process from beginning to end is literally taking over 5 months.
Also, someone mentioned UPS as a possible shipping option (like with Guerrilla ):
I asked Tara and she said yes. So mine will be shipped via UPS instead of Canada Post.

Another good shave with the Wolf. I hope i am not contaminating this thread with my results, maybe i need to post it somewhere else??Very comfortable, but not bbs, but DFS . Even though i did 3 passes (wtg, xtg, atg) and some touch-ups i still feel rough spots from my whiskers in certain areas. I believe i need to use a higher performance blade. The Usta is a very mild blade, so i guess it could fail to excel in removal of all whiskers to get a bbs/glassy smooth shave?? Dang it - Why should i seek more, lol? It was comfortable, no irration, (two very small weepers)maybe that's how a good shave is supposed be, but i like that glassy smooth shave that lasts 12 hours, but i want comfort too, so theres a fine line there, but i believe its possible to get both. Any suggestions? Next shave i will load a Bic platinum, i have never tried this blade yet. Dang these ads are nerve wracking!! Anyone else agree??
3rd shave was nice with the Wolf and the First and use of a Bic platinum. User error got a small 'memory line cut' going atg on the stache area.

Another nice shave in the books with the wolf 0.95. The prep was hot water, preshave wash and two hot towels. Then i splashed with cold water and finished my shave with cold water..Bic platinum chrome seems like a nice blade. I got one tiny weeper on my upper lip that hardly bleed. Alcohol aftershave wasn't 'hot'.
