Weingut Tesch ~ Riesling St. Remigiusberg, 2018
A lean and enjoyable Riesling. Peach and pebble in the nose. Playful and juicy taste. Not overly complex, but still a solid choice.
Cheers
Did you turn it again tonight? I’d be interested to hear if it changed much after the first night (if it survived past that even!)It was a good bottle despite worrying about leakage. Had better luck with the tongs on our second attempt. There was quite a bit of sediment. Great fruity nose, but a little weak on the palate. More time?
We had five people partaking, so it didn’t make it past Saturday.Did you turn it again tonight? I’d be interested to hear if it changed much after the first night (if it survived past that even!)
This sounds like something my wife would enjoy. She loves Gewurztraminer, as she loves the spiciness of the grapefruit notes. This sounds like it may be similar.View attachment 1877933Weingut Dr. Bürklin-Wolf ~ Wachenheim Gerümpel, Riesling 2012
A lovely mature Riesling. Green apple and stone fruits on the nose. Vivid, complex attack with apples, minerals, orange, grapefruit peel and a fine dose of sugar (but still a dry wine, make no mistake). Long, characterful finish. Excellent Riesling from the German wine region Palatinate.
Cheers!
This Riesling had a lot of crispyness to offer, but it's not been a solely tart wine. It featured a lot of "fruit charm", if you will. This sounds like something my wife would enjoy. She loves Gewurztraminer, as she loves the spiciness of the grapefruit notes. This sounds like it may be similar.
