Good morning, coffee crew.
Mad Priest Dark Night of the Soul.
French press.
Black.
It's 16° in Music City right now with a high around 24° today. Cloudy and cold. About 5 hours of sleep last night. I tried to doze back off but it just wasn't going to happen. Just a few tracks to upload today but that's it. Back in my studio on Wednesday and Thursday from 6-9 pm.

What up to you motley crew of caffeinated heathens?!?! It’s my friendly bystander of life self just wishing you all a swell day. This morning I drank nothing concerning coffee (just water) because I got labs this morning at the VA clinic for my upcoming primary care physician appointment. Afterwards though, it’s on because I’m going to slurp me down a cup of some hot delicious coffee! You fellers are gonna have a great day and you wanna know why I’m saying this? Because y’all rock! Stumptown Hair Bender brewed with the V60 this morning.
GM coffee crew,
Just 0.1” to 0.2” of snow over what might be considered black ice.
This nixed any idea of venturing out.
Made an omelette, toast and coffee.
Brewer: Aeropress inverted
Coffee: Melitta French Roast 15 grams
Grinder: 1ZPresso JX set 20 whole numbers from zero.
Poured coffee into the inverted aeropress and leveled the grounds
Poured 115 grams of just off boil water
Stirred 10 seconds
Installed the filter cap
Inverted and started the press
Bypassed to 247 grams
Nice cup
Cheers!!!

I love omelettes, Gene. I don't know why I don't make them more often.
I like to go out too often. Road conditions said don’t do it.
This omelette trumped many I would buy because I did not use much butter.
Neighbors are celebrating with fireworks. I’m glad they waited until after sunrise.

As you can all see, the Major's K9 officer snapped right to attention the nanosecond she knew that there was an officer in the room.
In any case, the major started his day with a strong cup of Army of Dark Chocolate made in the moka pot.
A quick insight into the Major's personality is, when he gets a new toy like the moka pot, he tends to use it frequently for a while. Then, after the novelty wears off, it goes into what you may call a regular rotation with his other things. For now, that means that he has made a lot of coffee in his moka pot of late. Soon enough, it will get into a schedule of sorts, where he'll alternate between that, his Aeropress his Keurig.
Have a good day, all. His K9 Officer would also wish you the same, but she seems too occupied with doing nothing.

A male Cardinal is on my deck right now eating some unsalted cashews that I crushed up. These kinds of things always bring joy to my heart.
New to me coffee today. Brazilian Pulp Natural. Delicious. No proof.
A pair of Cardinals used to hang out here. Beautiful birds.
The neighbor’s cats were hard on all the birds so they left for safer places.

I envy your birdwatching. We used to have several pairs of cardinals, bluebirds, woodpeckers, and a brown thrasher that was probably my favorite - I loved his attitude - in our back yard. we had to do away with our bird feeders, though. A large Norway rat also enjoyed them and decided to move into our crawlspace. Evicting it proved to be an expensive, drawn out process.
Got two coffees in the mail today. Cloud City ‘Burundi Tirahamwe’ and Bonlife ‘Masha’ beans. I’ll try one out after i finish with the Cultivar‘Elevation’ beans I’m drinking now. Oh yeah, i fixed a few cups of the Cultivar beans using the Moccamaster after my labs, and I drank them black. Have a great rest of y’all’s day! Peace
