Currently watching binge-worthy Severance and LOVING IT. Enough said. Anything further would require spoiler alerts.

Of all U.S. streaming services, Apple+ and Prime (adding PBS Masterpiece) scratch our itch. Genuinely appreciate Apple's integrity for not torturing the paying public with ads. A short list of highly recommended content:
  • Apple+: Masters of the Air, Sugar, Ted Lasso, and Greyhound.
  • Amazon Prime + PBS Masterpiece Subscription: All Creatures Great & Small, Professor T, Endeavor, Victoria, Sherlock, Reacher, Jack Ryan, The Blues Brothers, Fastball documentary, and anything by historian Lucy Worsley. Also, keep an eye out for the Jesse Stone 9-movie collection staring Tom Selleck. Like all content on Prime, it comes and goes. Next time it comes, treat yourself. It is beautifully written, shot and acted - and far better than the books.
  • Purchases: Turn: Washington's Spies, and Pride & Prejudice (1995 version, Colin Firth, Jennifer Ehle). Love these period pieces so well that purchased on Apple and watch each year.

My wife and I squeezed in an exceptionally high volume of TV time this weekend. First, and most importantly, on Friday we watched the latest installment of Severance (Apple). Then we binged season 2, which is only 3 episodes, of Above Suspicion on BritBox. Saturday was another episode in our re-watch of Medium (Hulu), as well as two more episodes of the final season of The Blacklist (Netflix). Sunday, based on reading some good reviews and several personal recommendations from friends, we tried The White Lotus (MAX). Unfortunately we couldn't bear to even give it our customary 3-episode trial. After two episodes, I'm not sure why any of our friends would have recommended this to us. Or why it has gotten good reviews, for that matter. Finally, after a disappointing afternoon NJ Devils game, we watched an episode of Northern Exposure (Amazon). And finally last night, we watched the first two episodes of The Pitt (MAX), which is right in our wheelhouse.

I forget whether we finished Severance. I think we have some to go for Silo. Both seem pretty slow and boring to me, or maybe my ADD has gotten worse.

Started watching The Night Agent. We will probably stick with it some more, but the writing seems terrible. It seems kind of comically violent/action filled.

I am sure we will find something else.

The wife and I started on Knots Landing a couple of weeks ago. We used to watch it when we were dating. It's kind of fun to see it again after all these years. Very soapy, lots of sleeping around (at least in the first 2 seasons).

My wife and I just watched the latest season of Will Trent. I remember really liking the first season and I think the second. The actors were very appealing across the board with amazing chemistry. As I recall the writing and plots were good.

This season seems to lose quite bit. The actors are still appealing. The interactions seem less compelling. Some of the writing seems poor. Some of the dialogue seems weak. The plotting less credible and/or interesting. The police chief in particular seems more cartoonish this season. Still worth a watch. I read several of the books. The show is qutie a bit better.

I do agree, also the crimes are less interesting
