I've been using the Tony Miller smooth horsehide that I posted a pic of in post #63, quite a bit lately. It's interesting, as it's breaking in it's developing a micro-nap, a very subtle texture that is giving it a little more tactile and audible feedback. It's a real joy to strop on. I also use my own veg tanned steerhide fairly often, it's not as sensual in use but it seems like the edge gets "there" a little faster.
3" Heirloom R S Co., fast bridle and faster cotton
I am having a very hard time choosing any strop but this one. I know the infatuation will settle down eventually, but a long term relationship is an attractive prospect too.
My first Heirloom strop, 3" linen and smooth horse. I tend to grab it when there is a new razor in the house. It is my baseline strop. Also, the screws are well aligned.

Tonight, my Tony Miller strop was on post hone stroping duty. It has performed this duty with distinction and thus may be making appearances in future honing sessions.
