Aha. So in other words a Western style essentially becomes a kamisori with an extra long handle.

I have done that a few times. I'll work on it some more and see how it develops.

Yea basically but I’m not a fan of the true kamisori and like to be able to fold when not in use and not keep track of a case or whatever. I’ll have to pay attention tonight when I shave to see if I do fold the handle whatsoever.
