What's new

What is your "Travel Razor"

Same as at home---take a zip loc freezer bag and put the razor, a few blades in the wrapper and a tube of Creamo Crème in it. Leave the brush and cup at home and apply the cream by hand.

What's the big deal with missing it? I mean how do you loose a DE/SE when you travel? It's the first thing I check when checking out or loading my luggage up. I really hate to settle, So I Take along My Titan H-1 , Ej 89 With Weber Bulldog handle, and sometimes a 1914 SE. I really don't worry spit kissing these things unless I loose my carry on, and I doubt that would ever happen.

When travelling - by air or not - I rarely have enough bathroom time for DE shave, so it's either a Sensor or Atra and any brush less product at hand.

For business travel, I try to avoid checking luggage, so I pack a Gillette Guard just to avoid hassles getting on an off planes. If I am going on a longer trip, I pack a Merkur slant. I also carry a Wee Scott and a La Toja shave stick.

New Norfolk (gold), Omega Mighty Midget, and a Tabac stick works for me. Small travel bottle with Captain's Choice Bay Rum (original) and I'm literally good-to-go.

This is my Gillette Travel Tech. It's small but can bite. So I'm careful with it.

I have a Merkur Progress and a Superspeed '49 when travelling. Earlier I had a Merkur travelling razor, the one in the tiny leather pouch. However, I lost it somewhere and I have to buy a new one as this is one was my favourite for travelling with checked in luggage. Travelling light with on board luggage only I use a Taylors razor (Mach 3) which is as compact as the Merkur DE travelling razor.

I use whatever the hotel has on hand for free and the hotel soap too if it's just the weekend. Has worked out great for over 30 years. You have to stay, of course, in a hotel that gives away free goodie bags at the front desk or in the rooms. I've never had a bad shave though. If I'm staying for awhile I take along my old '40s Gillette Tech and a tube Proraso crème.

I own (2) R41's and keep one in my travel kit. I tried one of the Merkur Open Comb travel razors but it was ridiculously mild. I sold it.

I use the same DE that I use at home. Currently that's a EJ DE89. If I like my AS-D2 (waiting for it to arrive) then I'll travel with it. I don't compromise for traveling with a couple of exceptions. My usual brush doesn't fit in my travel tube so I have a travel brush which was my former usual brush. If I'm traveling with just a carry-on I'll take a Merkur Twin Blade and GII carts instead of a DE and blades.

When I traveled with a DE razor, it was a Schick Krona and a pack of IP reds....
Now days it will be my Feather Artist Club non folder and Feather blades + a stick of Arko.. ;)

I rarely travel but booked a flight for the first time in 15 years for a honeymoon. Just going to bring a couple Bic Twin Selects and a small can of Foamy.
