Today is 04-05-2025 is # 95 of 2025.

Razor: Goodfellas' Smile - Bayonetta
Blade: 7 AM Plus Hi Platinum. DAY # ONE USEAGE.
Bowl: N/A
Soap/Cream: Cremo - Refreshing Mint, smells is great.
Brush/Instrument: Fingers/Omega Boar
Extra Stuff: Witch Hazel

Still using my Goodfellas' Smile Bayonetta today this Razor is a Rock Star. Shave was three passes, with, across, & against the grain, using a Almost NEW FRESH - 7 AM Plus Hi Platinum, some Blade feel but just feedback, Shave went as easy as 1, 2, 3, Blade is Super Sharp, and, Efficient. Today was DAY # ONE for using this Blade, came out of my Orphan Blade Ziplock. Blade sent message, aka feedback it was working good today, it was loud talking, and clear.

Shave today was Dam Fine Shave but did not achieving perfection rating, would be 9.999 +. Results were Darn Good because I payed a lot of attention to Technique, reaped rewards, of DFS for doing so. I do not & never will chase BBS, do but still got great Shave. This is an Ultra Heavy Weight Razor at 3.49 Ounces, Handle is nice & long so it like having baseball bat in hand. Last observation about the Goodfellas' Smile Bayonetta Razor is it Clamp Down Blade so there is NO Blade Movement or Blade Chatter this is a flipping excellent shaving tool.

Razor: Enders Speed Razor (Hendrix Adapter)
Blade: Schick Proline B (Shaves: 3, Passes: 9)
20250330_121920~2.jpg

Brush: Wild West Brushworks Invasion (TNS 26mm Original BOSS Fan)
Bowl: Captain's Choice Copper
Lather: Taconic Bay Rum Shave Cream
Post-shave Balm: Nivea
Aftershave: Clubman Pinaud Special Reserve

The Enders (with Hendrix adapter to allow injector blade use) is a really cool razor. Must be used shallow. Not as effective as my best razors but, when used correctly, it provides an excellent, comfortable shave. :001_wub:

Excellent 3-Pass DFS

SOTD: 04/05/2025

Razor: Rocnel 304
Blade: Gillette Perma-Sharp Super, 1st use
Brush: Trotter Barber
Bowl: Cayuen Dark Nebula Bowl
Soap: Barrister & Mann Lavender
Aftershave: Barrister & Mann Lavender
Balm: Stirling Unscented
Additional Care: Thayers Witch Hazel (Unscented)

The Rocnel 304 really is an odd razor. It has super high comfort and super low efficiency, both of which seem out of place given the enormous blade reveal which hangs out like a was stinger. Relaxing and comfortable shave. My first time using B&M Lavender which is another masterwork of complexity which is herbaceous and citrusy. BBS-/DFS+

Wishing you a joyous weekend.

1) Great Britain: Brush Simpson Trafalgar T3.
2) Italy: Shaving Cream Palmolive.
3) USA: Razor Gillette NDC Gold Ball End Tech.
4) Japan: Razor Blade Kai shave number fourteen.
5) Italy: Alum Block Proraso.
6) Italy: Aftershave Balm Nivea Men Sensitive Skin and Stubble Balm.
7) USA: EDT Calvin Klein Free For Men.
8) USA: Lather Bowl Captain’s Choice Copper Lather Bowl.

I pushed the Kai blade to far. This mornings shave was quite tuggy and ATG was terrible. I didn’t draw any blood but I had some visible redness on my cheeks and lots of sting when I used my Alum Block. My face felt quite raw in the shower until I applied some aftershave balm. I am still happy to have tried to see how long I could get out of this blade and now I have a good idea. I would rate the shave as a 6.5/10.

Sunday morning.

PAL safety razor + Astra Stainless blade
Yaqi Twist synthetic brush
Palmolive shave stick
1980s Pierre Cardin aftershave

Good, solid stuff this morning. The razor is a worthy rival to the all-conquering Tech, and was marketed as the Star 100 on the western side of the pond.

The usual shave stick lather alchemy from one of the Palmolive sticks I hid away when I could get them. The brush is a lot more modern than I'd often pull out on a Sunday, but it's great for making a lather. I keep meaning to try using it in my left hand - the way the "Twist" goes suggests this would be less comfortable, and it feels a bit odd just holding it - but I always forget that during the shave.

Credit to a fine 80s aftershave, too. I'll say a "9" today.

So, I'm not afraid to say when I'm wrong...but this is not one of those occasions. 😆

I've been pretty vocal about the price of Wolfman razors, criticized them for the lack of info on their website, and speculated that their razors aren't 10x better than, say, a $65 Game Changer with regards to performance.

Well, I picked up this very nice Ti Wolf WR2 1.05 from a member here so that I might see what all the fuss is about, and...

...I had an absolutely wonderful first shave.

I will say that there is more blade feel than I expected, and the razor is very efficient, without being aggressive. My ATG passes on my neck were very smooth with zero tugging, and the entire shave was DFS+ without a trace of irritation.

So, even though I still believe all of the negatives in my first paragraph, I will admit that the Wollfman is a truly fantastic shaver, that could easily (likely?) replace my stable of modern razors (which admittedly is few).

It is beautifully machined and the fit and finish is impeccable, so I suppose that is worth something, though I still maintain that it is a frivolous and unnecessary luxury item...that I will probably keep for a long, long time. 🙂

(I love it.)

Always happy to see you in this thread, Gary. :)
