Today's shave:
Razor: Weishi 9306 Long Handle
Blade: Derby Extra (shave #2)
Brush: Razorock Big Bruce 26mm plissoft
Soap: Custom Van Der Williams Blend with Dove, Ivory, Prorasso & Arko with a small dab of LEA Professional Cream
Result: Very Good 2+ pass 9.5/10 BBS shave
Second shave since I rotated from my King C. Gillette back to my Weishi. Typical shave with a pre-shave face wash. Used the last of a custom blend puck residual that was in my apothecary mug. Was nice to finally 3017 something.
Added a small pea sized dab of LEA cream as I wasn't sure there was enough soap left. Mix produced plenty of lather, likely enough for another shave. After consuming everything in the mug and building lather I then face lathered to complete the process. Lather was nice and creamy with plenty of slickness. Derby blade is holding up well providing an efficient and smooth shave.
I then proceeded to do my normal 2+ pass shave. As is sometimes the case when I've recently transitioned from my mild King C. Gillette to the moderate Weishi I did get a small weeper during the shave. Hence the downgrade to 9.5 out of 10.
Overall result was a great BBS shave. Will transition to a fresh puck of Williams shaving soap from my inventory tomorrow. It's been over a year since I used straight Williams. Looking forward to revisiting the soap I started with when I returned to DE over five years ago.
