Full blend of two soaps into one. Tabac puck and Arko stick. The Tabac puck had seen some usage so it was less than the 125 grams, but the ratio was more Tabac than Arko.
1) Portugal: Brush Semogue Owners Club boar.
2) Germany: Shaving Soap Tallow Tabac.
3) USA: Razor Gillette Regus Tech.
4) Russia: Razor Blade Gillette Nacet.
5) France: Alum Block Osma.
6) Germany: Aftershave Balm Nivea Men Replenishing Post Shave Balm.
7) USA: EDT Vera Wang For Men.
My Saturday morning shave was quite reasonable. The Gillette Nacet blade is starting to slow down, I drew no blood and had hardly any irritation but I did have a little more sting when I applied my Alum Block. I also could feel a little bit of stubble left after my shave when I applied my aftershave balm. Still, as I mentioned it was a reasonable shave. This morning’s rating is still an 8/10.
Ah, the Gillette REGUS. Presumably with the drying instructions ("PAT OFF")?

I'm never sure how British "All British" means - you're hard pressed (obligatory forging joke?) to get hold of Welsh or Teeside steel these days. It shaves well, though, so I suppose that's more important than provenance.
Fine work from the brush and soap, and the feeling of satisfaction that comes from an aftershave that cost £3 from a local high street. I'll give it a "9" today.

| Comments | I am ending the week with the next razor in my rotation: the UK Aristocrat. This is a classic, well-made razor. I put a Personna Medical Prep blade in it. This combination of razor and blade always does a good job. Today’s brush is a custom Rudy Vey creation It is a large brush with a 28m Shavemac Silvertip knot. It always makes some nice lather and enough of it to shave my face and head. The Razor Rock soap was used for the 61s time. There are only a few more shaves left in it. Have a great day folks. |
