It has been a few days since I shaved. I was letting my face heal from some razor burn. The acne is almost completely cleared up as well.

I had a meeting in the early AM so I wanted to clean up a bit otherwise I might have waited until tomorrow to take my time.

I tried loading in the bowl and lathering on the face. I added water frequently, but was short on time so I don't think I added enough. It was still a decent lather by my standards.

I did 1.5 passes with the R41 and it got me a nice close and clean shave. One pass on the neck with clean up and one and a half passes on the face. One small nick on the neck, but nothing else. The Alum block test came out positive with very little stinging. I am very satisfied with my shave given it was relatively fast.

I did do something strange today. I dry shaved today and my forehead was naturally oily after my shave since I didn't wash my face. Before rinsing my face I briefly lathered my forehead to fully wash my face. I might get stuffed in the hypothetical Forum lockers for that. Is that taboo?

My third shave with the Super Thin Platinum and it was the best one yet.
It was also my last shave with this P&B sample and it was another excellent lather. I wouldn't get a full puck as I still find it's scent a bit overpowering but it was ok as a winter shaver.

Journey to 100 blades (journal)

Shave two with the Minora Stainless today and an excellent shave. The blade feels sharper today (I wouldn't class it as Very Sharp, probably closer to an Astra SS than a Perma-Sharp or Nacet) and very smooth again. The end result was a close shave with no irritation or Alum feedback.

Gillette 1941 Ranger Tech, Feather blade (third shave), and Barrister and Mann Leviathan start to finish. Pre-shave was a hot shower and washing my face with Ursa Major Fantastic Face Wash. The Feather was only so-so as I am experimenting with using blades longer than my normal two and done, but my first shave with the Ranger made up for it in spades! Great razor!
