What's new

Unusual and exotic razors.

Stahly Live Blade Razor. The bottom knob gets wound up and an eccentric weight causes the guard to shift back and forth. With whiskers being held in the guard it creates a slicing motion when they contact the edge of the blade.

Say what you like about the Stahly, the heads are the bomb if you like fairly mild shavers.

I have one I fitted to a custom Cooncat Bob handle. Excellent razor.

Naidu Rasant
IMG_20250110_190838380.jpg

Designed by Gopalswamy "G.D." Naidu - "the Edison of India" - and made in Heilbronn, Germany by Kaco, the Kupfer-Asbest Co in the mid-1930s. Another battery powered vibrating razor.

After a terrifying trip into the dark world of vintage radio enthusiasts I was able to track down what I believe are the correct batteries for this but alas, it would appear that the motor is kaput. I fear that I shall never know this behemoth in its full vibrating glory.

For a true sense of scale, here it is next to a Merkur Futur
