Whenever I use MdC (which is very rarely) I always scuttle lather it. Face lathering never worked for me because it took too long to get it just right, wearing my face out in the process. I hate loading soaps because it’s hard to be consistent this way. MdC is very dense so I never will advise anyone to load it like you stole it, unless you intend to shave an army of men or want to dry your face out.
British creams, take your pick, are mainly what I use to face latter with these days. Fast simple and effective. Cheap too.
